Digital Production Intern

Game Night Communications Assistant

Department: Communications

Principal Function:The Boston Celtics are looking to fill the role of a Game Night Communications Assistant. This position is a seasonal, temporary position working with the team’s Communications Department throughout the season at all home games and, in some cases, the day before home games.

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Organize and conduct all pre-game preparations, including credentialing, media seating, and media work rooms.

  • Hand out credentials at media/security entrance and serve as point of contact for media and current TD Garden COVID-19 protocols.

  • Serve as point of contact for visiting team, handling any potential PR needs.

Human Resources Administrator

Principal Function: As a member of the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Administrator will be the primary contact for the Basketball Operations group regarding all phases of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, on-boarding, development, retention and off-boarding, and will also be responsible for day-to-day organization-wide HR functions, as directed. Live Events and Game Presentation Intern

Responsibilities Include:

  • Schedule Color Guards for all Celtics home games

  • Work with the Group Sales Department day of game, assisting with the coordination of all pregame primetime performances

  • Game night contact for the following groups: National Anthem Performers, Color Guard,Halftime Act, Junior Dance Team

  • Ensure that prizes, waivers, and props for all in-game promotions/contests are in place for each home game

Partner Development Intern

Department: Partnership Development

Job Description:

Support Partner Development with execution of various activations and game night assets. Assist in partner reporting and recapping while also working on various Partner Development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and monitor execution of in-arena sponsored elements (e.g., LED Ring and Jumbotron Signage, replay bugs, etc.)

  • Help execute partner activations, special events, and community-based programs

  • Responsible for some partner communication and outreach (e.g., game tickets, game day activation coordination, sweepstakes winners, etc.)

  • Responsible for inventorying and the organization of CP merchandise, promotional items, and gifting

Social Media Coordinator

Principal Function:

The Social Media Coordinator will support the Celtics Marketing team with a specific focus on digital content and social platforms across distribution channels. This role supports content creation and implementation for Celtics owned channels and includes live coverage of Celtics games and events related to the business.

We are looking for a creator, a candidate with a passion for storytelling through a sports lens, and someone who finds new ways to continue to push us to be outstanding! Passion about and knowledge of the topics that intersect with basketball — music, pop culture, fashion — are preferred.

This role has experience in social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms. Ability to navigate and prioritize in ever-changing, fast-paced environments is important. Knowledge of basketball and the Celtics is helpful.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the implementation of social media and content strategies

  • Assisting in maintaining the day-to-day editorial calendar across owned channels

  • Working with the social media team to create compelling content to drive engagement and support revenue-driving initiatives

  • Working closely with Social Media Manager and Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing to identify new opportunities to create engaging content

Ticket Sales Intern

Game Nights Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist Group Sales with executing on-court Fan Experiences, including participant arrival, entering the arena, and getting to and from the court.Timing could be pre-game, in-game and post-game.

Youth Basketball Camp Nurse

Summary:

The Jr. Celtics is the official youth basketball platform of the 17-Time World Champion Boston Celtics, which is dedicated to improving positive youth development in the community through highly engaging basketball programs teaching the standards of Celtics basketball to kids, coaches, and parents.

Would you like to help support the next generation of youth basketball programming? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment? If so, we have opportunity for you! In partnership with New Balance, we are searching for seasonal part-time Nurse. Responsibilities will include supporting our camp operations and participants, while working closely with the director and staff as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the City of Boston to ensure all health records are up to date and in compliance

  • Identify pertinent camper medical needs and ensures that this information is communicated with the appropriate camp staff

  • Maintain updated files

  • Prior to camp, provides staff in-servicing and health education at orientation

  • Connect with guardians and campers prior to camp to ensure all camper needs are met

  • Works alongside the camp Medical Doctor, and Athletic Trainer

  • Prior to camp prepare all first-aid kits

  • Demonstrates empathy and compassion in conduct toward campers

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse

  • Previous experience as a camp nurse at an athletic camp preferred

  • Familiarity with medications

  • Excellent working skills including communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to details

  • Hospital experience preferred

  • Knowledge of summer camp health practices a plus

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required

  • Physical strength to move and lift patients, water coolers, medical equipment, etc. (at least 50 lbs.)

  • Ability to take control, make sound decisions, and stay levelheaded in stressful and emergency situations

  • Available to work flexible hours, primarily weekends and holiday/school break periods
