Celtics Cruise Into Round 2 After Deflating the Knicks at MSG
The Celtics completed the series sweep and became the first team to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals after they defeated the Knicks 101-89 Sunday afternoon in New York. The Knicks made it a four-point game midway through the fourth after trailing by as many as 23 points, but the C's answered back with clutch plays down the stretch.
Kevin Garnett netted a team-high 26 points to go with 10 rebounds, while Rajon Rondo dropped 21 points and 12 assists.
