Service

By leveraging our brand, resources and partnerships, our goal is to strengthen and foster more vibrant communities and engaged individuals. Each year Grizzlies players, coaches and front office staff give back to the community through a variety of service driven projects.

MLK Day of Service

The Memphis Grizzlies hosted our Annual MLK Day of Service presented by FedEx as part of the overall 2022 MLK Week Celebration. Grizzlies Connect volunteers along with WFGM and FedEx volunteers, worked with Mid-South Food Bank to set up a mobile food pantry to supply 500 families and organizations with food boxes. Volunteers also packed Grace Bags to support local nonprofit, Living Grace Memphis.

National Volunteer Month - Earth Day

In honor of Earth Day, the Memphis Grizzlies in support of Memphis City Beautiful hosted Cleaning Up The Community presented by Service Master by Stratos, at Jessie Turner Park located in South Memphis. Grizzlies Connect volunteers helped with ridding the park of litter, sweeping the parking lot and stacking piles of fallen branches for pickup.

GrizzFam

GrizzFam is the Grizzlies’ auxiliary group that supports the needs of the community throughout the Mid-South region. Members are comprised of the wives and significant others of the Grizzlies players, coaches, basketball operations and ownership staff. This past Season of Giving, GrizzFam hosted a Thanksgiving dinner at the Salvation Army’s Purdue Center of Hope for the eighth consecutive year. In addition, throughout the year, GrizzFam supports homeless women and children initiatives.
